An old gravity retaining wall adjacent to a site under development was investigated by OSC and found to have inadequate resistance against sliding failure.
A remedial solution was designed where ground anchors were installed after core-drilling through the wall. Initial tests on trial anchors was carried out to establish what capacity could be achieved per anchor installed in the retained material.
