Through a suite of routine sampling and testing of the concrete frame, OSC identified that all suspended floors comprised HAC pre-stressed concrete beam elements, topped with an in-situ concrete slab.
Inspections of below ground wet and dry ducts that run around the perimeter of the swimming pool at South Reading Leisure Centre identified extensive corrosion induced spalling of the reinforced concrete elements forming the duct structure.
